About My Closet of Writing

I have always been a lover of clothes and fashion, so for me my closet was always a personal shrine. My closet at home held all of my favorite, special, and memorable items of clothing in an organized way where I could go and find them in an easy and systematic way. Therefore, for this capstone e-portfolio, I have decided to use this same idea of a "personal" shrine for my writing, where I can organize, store, and go back to find later, all my special, memorable, and favorite pieces I have written in the past four years in college in an organized and systematic way by style, interest, and topic.

In addition to the meaning of the closet of my writing as a place to store my pieces of writing as if they are my clothes, I have a second meaning for this theme as well.  I have always been very "closeted" about my writing, in that I have always been very private about sharing and showing my writing,  and  also never got too personal in my writing pieces. Therefore, I liked to keep my writing and what I wrote in a closet, away from others who may want to read it. Since a closet also means a place of secrecy or privacy, I feel that this theme fits for both  reasons.

Throughout this portfolio you will find a series of my writing pieces, arranged by topic and style. They will be acompanied by a series of photos of beautiful closets, both empty and full, so that the empty ones can be "filled" with my writing pieces.
